I thought I would share a few things which were new to me this month that I enjoyed.

1. Workout: Heather Robertson 12 week Program

Since 2020 I have become a home workout girl. I follow YouTube workouts with my favourite exercise influencers being Chloe Ting and Heather Robertson.

I wrote about Heather Robertson on the blog before and she just released a new 12 week workout program. Although I am good about exercising regularly I have never fully completed one of her programs. I tend to skip around between her videos.

This year I have decided to complete her 12 week program! I am doing this program along with one of my friends. I love having a workout buddy for encouragement so I am exited to see how this goes for us!

I even stuck to the program on vacation.

2. Books: Michael Scott's The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series

After finishing medical school and residency, reading for pleasure was something that took me a long time to get back into. Over the last few years I have started to read more. Typically my preferred genre is mystery, especially murder mysteries.

I was recently introduced to Michael Scotts’ Nicholas Flamel book series. As an AVID Harry Potter aficionado I was intrigued to find out that Nicholas Flamel was a real person. This series is unrelated to Harry Potter but is also a fantasy novel. So far I am loving the series. It is an easy and interesting read. The series has a lot of interesting historical facts intertwined into the storyline. Much of the third book was set in Paris. If you follow us on instagram you know I was just in Paris and I went to a lot of the historical landmarks they discussed in the book. I definitely recommend this series if you like fantasy.

3. Music: Nu-Funk / Funk House / Funk Pop playlist on Spotify

I was out for dinner recently and the restaurant had the Nu Funk / Funk House / Funk Pop Spotify playlist on and I was hooked! I am usually a background smooth jazz girl at a dinner party but this is going to be my new go to. Let me know if you give it a try.

If you guys try any of these out let me know!
