Ice Cream Social at H Tasting Lounge

For the summer season H Tasting Lounge has a fun seasonal cocktail menu. All drinks are based on ice cream flavours.

There are 6 different cocktails to try. During happy hour from 3 - 5 pm these cocktails are only $10! That is an amazing deal for cocktails these days. The happy hour food menu is also delicious and includes favourites such as oysters, burrata and fries.

  • Thank you H Tasting Lounge for hosting us. As always opinions are my own.

The star of the cocktail menu is definitely the white chocolate dipped. This drink is served in a glass ice cream cone. the cone is dipped in white chocolate and nonpariel sprinkles. The cocktails is aperol based. I love the mix of the bitter aperol with sweetness from the addition of vanilla and pear.

My second favourite cocktial was the king of sorbet. This drink uses averna which is an italian liquier in the amaro family. The ribena sorbet is delicious and pairs well with the fruity and herbaceous liquer.

The rocky road espresso martini is just as described. The perfect marriage of chocolate and coffee flavours. If you like chocolate this may be your new favourite espresso martini.

The Campari creamsicle has a similar vibe to the white chocolate dipped. As hinted at from the name the cocktail is Campari based. This drink is more bitter and less sweet but quite refreshing.

If you like sour cocktails then you need to try the lemon sorbet dry martini. While I love lemon drop martinis the lemon sorbet martini was a little too sour for my taste. It is light and refreshing but with all the other amazing drinks on the menu this would not be my go to.

The last cocktail on the menu is the forty creek float. Sadly I don’t have pictures of this drink but it comes in a milkshake/float glass and it topped with whipped cream. Rich and delicious this is the perfect dessert cocktail.

If you check out my reel on instagram you can see the float at the end.

While the cocktails are the star of this post can we take a moment for the outfit? This teal ensemble is from Pleats Please and I LOVE the bright color. It pairs well with my light blue stone necklace. The top and bottom are not the same shade of teal. I love the subtle contrast. Next time I wear this outfit I may try a gold belt to help give more definition.

If you are in Coal Harbour definitely stop by H Tasting Lounge for a summer sip!

xx Sam
