Top 5 Instagrammable locations in Victoria BC

Spring is here in Victoria and I thought this was the perfect time to share some of my favourite spots around the city. Victoria is gorgeous year round but my favourite seasons are Spring and Fall. Sadly the flowers last Spring were not as bountiful as usual so here’s hoping this year is better!

There are so many picturesque locations throughout the city it was hard to narrow it down. I chose my locations based on both instagrammability and what there is to do there.

1. Fisherman’s wharf

Fisherman’s Wharf is walking distance from downtown or you can catch a harbour ferry from different ports in Downtown Victoria.

As children my mom used to take us to the Wharf for either fish and chips or to buy fresh seafood. These days I love going down to grab a snack and wander amongst the houseboats. Personal favourite snacks include the mini donuts and ice cream.

2. China Town / Fan Tan Alley

There are so many locations in China Town that are instagrammable. Fisgard Street which is the main road in Chinatown is gorgeous with hanging lanterns. At night the lanterns are lit up.

Off of Fisgard Street is Fan Tan alley which is known as the narrowest commercial street in North America.

3. CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE

Craigdarroch Castle is a Victorian style house located a few minutes drive out of Downtown Victoria. The exterior of the house is great for photos.

4. gOVERNMENT hOUSE

Government House is a personal favourite spot of mine. This is the official residence of the lieutenant governor of British Columbia. I love taking a walk around the grounds of the house. They are gorgeous in the Spring showcasing many gorgeous flowers. There are so many photogenic spots on the property!

5. huntingdon manor Hotel

Another personal favourite location is Huntingdon Manor Hotel which is located Downtown Victoria. This hotel has served as the backdrop for many of my favourite photos. The golden hour and the evening light here is magical. The hotel also has a delicious afternoon tea which is worth trying out while there.

Hope you love these spots as much as I do and if you visit them let me know!
