Singapore Bound: Outfits I packed

It is time for my first official vacation of 2026! To say I am excited to explore Singapore is an understatement. I have been to Singapore twice before on my way to India. I spent less than 24 hours in the city and can not even picture what it looks like. This year I turn 40. I decided that this year my goal is to travel to cities I have never been to.

I always go to Europe. It is to the point when I have a week off people assume I am going back to London. While I LOVE Europe, I need to branch out.

Last year Singapore popped up as a destination I was curious about. This year luck would have it that my boyfriend was heading to Singapore so I decided to join.

These days I do not shop for a vacation. If anything I leave plenty of room to shop while I am away and pick up items I cannot find in Canada.

Given that it is February in Canada but 34 degrees and humid in Singapore I decided to commit to new Spring clothes. Given how early in the year it is I know I will get use of these pieces come Canadian spring and summer weather.

I wanted to share some of the items I purchased and what drew me to them in the event any of you are on the hunt for new spring looks!

1. Stripes

Anything Miu Miu does right now is in demand. While purchasing a t-shirt from a designer brand may seem over the top I love the combination of stripe thicknesses with this color combination. I tried on a few of their t-shirts and as soon as I got this on I knew I loved it. It paired well with everything I was trying on. I have already worn this plenty of times since I got it.

2. PAisley

From the print, to the color combination and cut of the shorts there were another instant love. These shorts are from Etro and I think paisley is my new spring print. I got the matching scarf top which I have not taken photos in yet. For vacation and to give myself styling options I packed this green Max Mara vest. It plays off the green accents in the shorts . What I love is that since the shorts do not have too much green in them, the vest is still gives a pop without being overwhelming with green.

3. Neutrals

I am not a neutral girl. I love print and color. When I tried on this Miu Miu top and Prada skirt combination I was shocked at how much I fell for it. The skirt is a great mix of casual but elevated. The nylon material will be easy to wear and travel with in a warm climate. I love that it comes with a belt to make it feel polished. The large pockets are my dream. Overall this is a simple outfit that I feel is still polished enough for a nice lunch out.

4. Pucci

This outfit is ALL about the skirt. I had initially thought about getting the matching tank top because I love print on print but for now will go with a neutral top to let the skirt make a statement.

5. Denim

Itโ€™s been a while since I bought a pair of denim shorts and I thought I was due. Last year somehow I didnโ€™t but many new summer shorts or clothing. I decided this year I would get a pair I loved even if they were expensive. These Prada shorts are the perfect mix of cute and flirty while still looking dressy. I love short shorts because I feel like they elongate my legs. Even though these shorts are quite short the slightly flared wide cut of the legs gives a flattering curvy silhouette so that you do not feel too exposed.

6. Mesh

I never thought I would be into a sheer top. When I initially saw this online I was obsessed with the color and sparkle. When I went to order it the cut and material of the top gave me pause. I decided to proceed with the purchase and I am glad I did! What a fun set for a night out. The top gives exposes enough skin without feeling uncomfortable. The rhinestones are not uncomfortable to sit on (I have learnt the hard way that some rhinestone clothing can irritate my skin). I canโ€™t wait to wear this on a night out!

Hope you enjoyed these looks. I canโ€™t wait to fully style them when I am away!
